She's Gonna Have a Baby!
________________________________________________________________
My friend, Shawna is pregnant! She and her fiancee have been trying for a few months, and she was beginning to worry something was wrong. Nope! I took her out to lunch today, and I've had the best time taking care of her! Many years ago when I was pregnant with Maggie, I had two good friends who took care of me. They made sure I always had something to drink and a place to put my feet up. Now I'm going to do that for her! I just put together a care package for her with Ginger Ale, Goldfish crackers, a couple pregnancy magazines, and some other goodies to help her through the first trimester. I'm going to enjoy her pregnancy so I don't want to enjoy one of my own!
You see... I still want another baby. But logically, I know I'm probably done. My family feels complete, and it would be selfish of me to have another baby simply because I miss the way they smell and the way my heart fills. And, I can't find my birth control pills!

I went to my sinus doctor and had a CT scan. My sinuses are perfectly clear. He thinks my headaches are coming from a stressful lifestyle. No, really? (Cue sarcasm) He has no real explanation for why my cheekbones hurt. I feel congested all the time. But X-ray's don't lie. A trip to the dentist is next and possibly a trip to the neurologist. This daily headache thing stinks.

So, I have Sarah Palin on the brain. I was shocked to discover that Obama's camp has a hotline for Alaskans to call if they know of any rumors or tips about the Governor. Today, I read that he has a team of "professional bloggers" who are searching for any posts about Sarah so they can leave negative comments. I'm naive enough to think this is unusual.
I went to the blog of one of my favorite authors today. Maybe one of the 111 nasty comments left were one of YoBama'sbloggers. This author is a feminist who is adamantly against Palin. We finally have a woman who has it all. The wonderful family. She can hunt and fish. She runs marathons. She can turn around city and state government. She has integrity. She can bring home the bacon, fry it up in a pan and run a government and schedule a play date for her daughter too. After weeks of digging, all the reporters scouring Fairbanks and Anchorage is that her husband had too many beers one night almost 20 years ago. The only thing worse than voting for her because she has breasts is not voting for her because she chose not to abort her Downs Syndrome baby. It's shocking to learn that many women would rather vote for someone who can talk a good game rather than someone who has strength of character.
