Timmy was thrilled with his birthday! Maybe you can't tell from the picture, but his smile was enormous! His friends stopped over to play and we invited them in for cake and then the party got really fun! For once, he had some BOYS to play with.
Yes, Tim's cake is green. He wanted a carrot cake and when I made the frosting, he asked if I could make it green. Not very appetizing maybe, but it made him happy! Xander was so excited when his Auntie brought him his very own cake for his "birthday". Nephew loved his cake so much, it took SIL close to an hour to talk him into letting her cut it! It was hilarious! Maggie was extremely patient because she wanted chocolate cake. Which was Nephew's. Finally SIL just cut into it and Nephew was upset for a few minutes and that was that.
Xander opened presents from his Nana and SIL, but I'm saving Grammy's gifts and ours for his actual day tomorrow. Fortunately, there was so much going on, he didn't seem to notice he only got two things! He's so easy going... Nephew was opening and throwing and Xander seemed happy to watch and Tim's enthusiasm for his presents was fun for him too.
Thank you, to the people who invented Lego's. It's been rainy and cold here for over a week. Although it was sunny yesterday long enough for friends to come over to play, thank goodness, it's been B-O-R-I-N-G around here. Tim got a few sets of Lego's for his birthday, and he's been playing with them with his sisters all day. It's been so nice! Bored kids equals kids who annoy one another for fun. NOT good. Bring on the Lego's!
