No, You Can't Take That Away From Me ________________________________________________________________

I locked my blog today because The Mayor of Crazy Town made all sorts of erronious claims about me, my parenting and my children in his counter suit in my SIL's divorce. Then I decided that even if he found my blog, that I'm not going to let him take this from me. I've been blogging for years! I've made lots of good friends through blogging. It's another way I keep in touch with family. He can kiss off.

I deleted some enteries, but that's all I'm going to do. Sorry, Requiel! She was asking me for passwords and everything, the sweet thing!

Yeah, I'm better NOW. I've been a mess though. Being a Mom is the most important thing to me and for anyone to make these claims messed me up for a bit. Having to ask people to write letters standing up for me and my children was humbling, but made me feel better at the same time.

So, in NORMAL news... It's summer! It's 60 degrees, the sun is shining (the mosquitoes are biting) and the kids are begging for ice cream because it's so hot. Hah! Well, I guess to us it is. Maggie even came in with a sun burn. Time to get a pedicure so I can wear fun sandals!

Mrs. Garden Gnome picked me up a few days ago and we had a really nice lunch. Getting out of the house was great for my spirit! The coke with cherry syrup didn't hurt either. Heh. It was really nice of her to do that. She can be a good friend. On a somewhat superficial level, and that's fine. Now I know that's how the relationship has to be.

Michael is taking us out for a nice brunch after church Sunday. I'm really looking forward to that. I kind of wanted to invite his mom and sister over for dinner, but I really don't want to cook. Maybe I'll make a cake. Caaaaaake!

I was a total brat the other day. I pre-ordered a book I've been dying for and it came out Tuesday. Money has been crazy tight this month, and I knew that. But still, I asked Michael to pick up that book for me. It's so hard for him to tell me no, and I forget that until the time comes that he has to. He just paid our cell phone bill and getting a new hardcover would put us over the edge. I was really bummed about it. Grateful that we could pay our bill, but still bummed. I'm such a brat. I had my heart set on reviewing it for C2KS Kwips and Kritiques for this month.

You know what Tim said to me? Mr. I Saved My Birthday Money Since Last August And Won't Let My Sisters Borrow a Dime. He said, "Mom, I'll buy it for you. I can be an early birthday present." He brought tears to my eyes... I'm not that much of a brat. His money is safe.
