Tossing of the Cookies
________________________________________________________________
Where have I been? I'll tell you where I've been. Expectorating the contents (and eventually the lining) of my stomach two or three times an hour on Tuesday. Recovering from feeling like Mike Tyson punched me in the gut on Wednesday, evolving into becoming one with my toilet seat Wednesday evening, and lying in bed exhausted from an excess of bodily functions on Thursday.
Yes, folks. I think I ate something that didn't agree with me. I don't know what that could be. I haven't had anything to eat that anyone else didn't have. Except when Michael and I had dinner late Friday night. It should only take 48-24 hours to develop food poisoning, but I think this may have been an extra special case.
We went to our favorite steak house our friends own. Edith came over and sat with us through dinner (not always a joy on date night to be honest, but she means well) and shared the story of how her mom had a staph infection on her ass all through taking her to the ER and having the doctor express it and how a q-tip went half way inside it etc. etc. And you thought I over-sharedearlier? I was in the middle of eating my salad with blue cheese dressing when she went on about the squirting puss and ooze. I'll save you the nasty details. Yes, it did get worse. Much worse. Not much of my salad was eaten that night, I'll tell ya. And not much of the rest of my dinner that arrived soon after either. I wonder if I gave myself delayed food poisoning just from listening to that horror story?
So what do I do when my SIL invites me to her My Space page and it's full of sexy pin up style pictures and a donation page to pay for new boobs? I really wasn't expecting that... All power to her! She looks great! Apparently I lost my mojo to strike a sexy pose in a bath tub with bubbles barely covering my assets or posing in tiny lingerie with a whip and a snarl and I'm okay with that. I'm so past that stage in life I can't even see it from here. But... awkward! I can't show her brother. He'd either put out his eyes afterwards or I don't know what. I can't begin to contemplate. Mother Myrtle.
